Why We Started

TBF started with a simple idea. What if the clothes we wear could mean something. Not just something you put on and forget about, but something you relate to in some way. Growing up here, you are constantly surrounded by stories. In films, in old poetry, in street conversations, in cricket matches, in memes, in mythology, in everyday life. We realised that all of this is culture in its own way, and we wanted to put some of that into what we make.

A lot of our designs come from these places. Sometimes it is a childhood game, sometimes it is a line of poetry, sometimes it is a meme, sometimes it is a film, sometimes it is a feeling or a thought that stayed with us...

And I often wondered: why don’t we wear what we truly belong to? TBF became my way of answering that — a space where design, storytelling, and culture come together in oversized silhouettes. It’s not just streetwear; it’s what makes us feel seen. This is brown culture, made wearable.

We looked at Tibetan monasteries to build this one. They don’t hang flags for aesthetics; the wind catches the fabric to carry their prayers and good fortune outward. It allows the commune to sit in absolute silence and focus entirely on fixing their own minds. That is the exact school of thought here. This tee acts as a silent charm for the wearer. Heavyweight drape and you keep quiet; the garment projects the luck.

What exactly is TBF?

A Delhi-based apparel brand making oversized tees, baby tees, full sleeves, hoodies and joggers. Every design comes from something we grew up around: Indian films, poetry, art, mythology, cricket, memes. Clothes you actually relate to, not just another logo on your chest.

How does the oversized fit work? Should I size up?

No. Order your usual size. The oversized cut is already built in. Size up only if you want it extra baggy.

Every product page has a size chart in cm and inches. Baby Tees are a cropped women's fit with stretch, so take your regular size.

What's the fabric and print quality like?

Oversized tees are 100% cotton with a thick, soft hand-feel. Waffle and Henley full sleeves are a heavyweight waffle knit. Baby Tees are 180 GSM cotton-lycra for stretch. Everything is made in small batches in India.

Is Cash on Delivery available?

Yes, Partial COD. Pay 25% online at checkout, pay the rest when it reaches your door. Full prepaid works too.

Heads up: if a Partial COD order is refused at delivery, the 25% isn't refunded.

How long does delivery take? Is shipping free?

Shipping is free across India, no minimum order. Orders are packed within 2–3 business days and usually reach you in 4–7 business days, depending on your pin code. You'll get a tracking link on email and SMS once it ships.

We only ship within India for now.

Can I return or exchange?

We don't do refunds, but exchanges are simple. Email contact@thebrownfeathr.com within 4 days of delivery with your order number and photos.

Wrong size: swap for another size, subject to stock. Shipping on size swaps is on you.
Defective or wrong item: we cover everything.

Items must be unworn, unwashed, with tags on. Full policy.

How do I keep the print looking new?

Wash inside out in cold water, skip the bleach, don't iron directly on the print, and dry in shade. That's it.

Do you take bulk or custom orders?

Yes. Weddings, college fests, corporate teams, events. We make custom apparel in bulk. Email contact@thebrownfeathr.com with quantity, timeline and what you have in mind.
